The RIOXX metadata application profile was originally developed by Paul Walk (while at UKOLN) and then EDINA) and by Sheridan Brown (Chygrove Ltd), working closely with RCUK who acted as sponsor and in collaboration
with HEFCE who supported and endorsed this work. This original work was funded and supported by Jisc.
Historical endorsements
"The RIOXX guidelines offer clear and practical guidance to organisations wanting to attribute research outcome information to specific funders and research grants in their repositories."
"The RIOXX metadata application profile has been developed with input from HEFCE to help repositories to comply with the open access policy for the next REF. We support its uptake and use."
"It is important for UK universities to start to plan to engage and implement the RIOXX metadata application profile as soon as possible as it will support greater automation of collection of information on publications and other research outcomes."
Since then, with the loss of both RCUK and HEFCE, RIOXX has been maintained by Paul Walk at Antleaf.
